Connect with community and learn to play Hong Kong style mahjong at Mei Mei Dumplings!
Join us on the third Sunday of the month from 11AM-1PM for Mahjong on a Mission! Each month, 50% of your ticket sale will go to a local non-profit community partner whose work we will highlight during the session.
We'll be learning and playing Hong Kong style mahjong; this event is ideal for newbies, beginners, and patient intermediates. Some tables may play open hands until everyone is up to speed. Fair warning: if you're at our mom's table, she's gonna make you say the name of every tile out loud in Mandarin when you play it.
Mei Mei will provide mahjong sets, printed guides, and a 15-minute pre-game tutorial to make sure everyone's on the same page. We'll serve some free snacks and hot tea.
Food and alc/non-alc drinks will be available to purchase at 12pm.
Our mission is threefold: support community organizations, connect friends and neighbors, and share our love of mahjong!
